Test Description

This test measures the candidate's ability to communicate with patients in an accurate and professional manner, as well as computer proficiency, understanding of medical terminology, and basic accounting knowledge. The test covers several subject areas:

Medical Office Administration Skills

This section evaluates the candidate's knowledge of medical office procedures, including appointment scheduling, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations.

Accounting and Bookkeeping Principles

This section tests the candidate's understanding of basic accounting principles, such as debits and credits, financial statements, and accounts payable/receivable.

Medical Billing

This section assesses the candidate's knowledge of medical billing procedures, including coding, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes.

Medical Terminology

This section evaluates the candidate's understanding of medical terminology, including anatomy, physiology, and common medical procedures.

Customer Service

This section tests the candidate's ability to provide excellent customer service, including communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

E-mail Etiquette

This section assesses the candidate's ability to communicate effectively via e-mail, including proper grammar, tone, and formatting.

It can be used to evaluate the performance potential of candidates for the following positions: Patient Access Specialist, Patient Access Representative, Patient Care Coordinator, Admissions Representative, and Patient Access Liaison.
